You drift in the sea for nine
days and nights, and are finally washed ashore on
Calypso's island. The beautiful goddess nurses
you back to health, but will not let you leave
the island because she wants you for herself.
After
seven long years, Athena convinces Zeus to order
your release, and Calypso sadly gives you the
tools and materials to make a small boat.
